2007 National Collegiate Competition
TeamThis year's Collegiates was one of the best yet!  With the advent of CollegeSkydiving.com , everyone had been talking throughout the year and was joining forces to make the competition bigger and better.  The USPA added a 6-way speed star event in this year as a test event and it went over with great success, with Skydive Arizona even throwing in medals for those who really excelled.

Representing Georgia Tech this year was an awesome 4-way team that placed in the top 10 and had a great time making the 30 hour road trip out to Arizona.  Also, a big congratulations to our Vice President, Travis O'Neal, for his bronze medal in Sport Accuracy!

Oh, you want another 190? OK!

Travis under the new Sentry 190!
Travis and the new Sentry 190
With the Sentry 190s in such high demand, we have added another one.  With the addition of this canopy we also changed the entire line-up of the canopies, so check the new Rig/Canopy list in the gear locker before you grab a rig to jump!  We have moved the Manta 260 out of the line-up (don't worry, we still have it and it can be switched in later if it's needed) and changed other things around.

Also, please remember that Rig #9 contains the Rage 185, which is a higher performance canopy and requires sufficient canopy skills as well as a coach briefing by a certified instructor. This is a great canopy for the club to have so that our more experienced members can get a feel for what they may want to look for when buying their own gear, but it's important that we use it in a safe and satisfactory manor.

We now have a 230, two 210s, three 190s, two 170s (all Sentry), and a Rage 185...so get your butt down to Skydive Atlanta and take advantage of it all!
